8-year-old child actor who has won the hearts of many viewers who have followed his adventures serving “Bro.”
But the kid who graced primetime for exactly one year in ABS-CBN’s top offering for 2009, “May Bukas Pa,” really does not come across as a righteous, know-it-all gifted visionary.
Zaijan Jaranilla, whom the entire telenovela world more endearingly and fondly calls “Santino,” the character he plays in the top-rated show, is actually like any other kid you might find on the playground, in an Internet café or around the neighborhood, only that he’s celebrity, a Star Magic talent – and yes, quite a handsome tot.
What’s more remarkable is that, as he says, he hasn’t changed a bit since hitting it big with that coveted role that quickly became the talk all over primetime town. Not even with the fame that could have been all too sudden for this wide-eyed wonder, who has also started to appear in TV ads on detergents, formula milk, and fastfoods.
