Empress Karen Schuck was born on February 19, 1993 to a German father and a Filipina mother.
She was introduced to local show biz by Angel Locsin’s former manager Becky Aguila.
Aguila has been managing the acting career of Empress, who is a niece of beauty queen Lorraine Schuck, the organizer of Miss Philippines-Earth.
Her aunt's influence may have been helped pushed Empress to try show biz.
It only took a press conference to launch Empress’ entertainment career, and from then on, she got involved in many film and television projects.
Empress was discovered by ABS-CBN when she was just 8 years old. She had TV exposures both in the Kapamilya network and Kapuso station.
When she was 11 years old, according to Wikipedia, she starred in “Bida si Mister, Bida si Misis,” a Maricel Soriano-Cesar Montano TV sitcom on ABS-CBN.
Her break in the celluloid was through the critically acclaimed and box-office hit “9 Mornings,” when she was only 9 years old.
Empress, who is second to the last child, has a sibling who’s also in show biz, Princess Schuck.
They have three brothers, King Von Matthew, Hans Erard and Justen Schuck.
Empress' elementary education was initially from Espiritu Santo Parochial School in Manila, and then she moved to another school.
She is an active member of Star Magic. Her acting credits include “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin,” “Super Inggo,” “Star Magic Presents: About Ur Luv,” “Pare Koy,” “Pasang Krus,” “Magkaibigan,” “Resiklo,” “Your Song Presents: Underage,” “Agimat: Ang Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla—Pepeng Agimat,” “May Bukas Pa” etc.
