One of the issues that led to the controversy was the rumor that Annabelle is planning to transfer Michelle's ex-boyfriend JC de Vera from GMA-7 to ABS-CBN.
Michelle told the entertainment reporters that JC during one of their recent conversations expressed his intention to stay in the Kapuso network.
She said, "Gusto niya [JC] talaga mag-stay dito since dito siya nanggaling."
Michelle started her career in ABS-CBN before jumping ship on the behest of Annabelle Rama. The ex-Star Circle Quest finalist argued that her case with JC was different and that she's also not in the position to offer unsolicited advice to the young actor.
"Dito [GMA-7] ako gusto ni Tita," Michelle candidly confessed. "Not my choice, pero gusto ni Tita and they're giving me naman good projects."
Michelle is currently loveless though, "May nagpaparamdam, non-showbiz," she smiled. "Pero parang 'di ko feel masyado kasi wala dito, e. Long distance and parang ang dami kong iisipin."
The 21-year-old actress is not envious of her sister Ehra's long-term relationship with musician DJ Myke Solomon of the Akafellas. Some of the names that were linked to Michelle in the past include JC de Vera and Victor Neri.
"Sa akin kasi siguro hindi lang talaga siya nagwu-work out dahil minsan nagkaka-conflict like, alam mo yon, sa age, 'yong isa sa distance," she explained.
Having a zero lovelife, though, allowed Michelle to concentrate more on her career. Since moving to a new network, Michelle has done Kamandag (2007), Dyesebel (2008), Dear Friend (2008), Obra (2008), Luna Mystika (2008), and now, Zorro. She also appeared in Bubble Gang and the movie My Monster Mom (2008) under Regal and GMA Films.
"Parang napansin ko, nung ang tagal kong walang boyfriend, ang dami kong trabaho," she giggled.
Michelle blushed when probed if she has a showbiz crush at the moment.
"Kakalipat lang niya dito [GMA-7]! " she gushed. "'Yon na 'yon!"
