After four solid years of being a successful loveteam,kimerald is now over,kim admits ABS-CBN management has decided to end the Kimerald love team after four years of successful projects. The young actress expresses she’s rather sad upon hearing the news. “Malungkot syempre kasi matagal yung pinagsamahan namin. Four years kaming magka-love team. And parang nakakapanibago ‘pag meron kang ibang ka-eksena na sweet- sweetan. Panibagong challenge ulit ‘to kung may darating man na bagong love team.”

But are the loyal and solid fans of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson ready to accept this? Kim Chiu says, “Parang hindi nga eh. Parang nalulungkot. Syempre ako din malulungkot.” But she adds, “Pero naintindihan naman nila ‘yun kasi part ng trabaho ‘to eh. Kahit anumang dumating, sana nandyan pa rin sila para suportahan kami.”

Nevertheless, the country’s most-loved love team remains friends. As a matter of fact, Gerald Anderson was seen on the set of her taping for MMK. Kim confirms, “Dumalaw nga s’ya once dun sa taping. Tinanong nya, “Oh kamusta kayo dito?”

Although she’s sad about the breakup of her love team with Gerald, Kim is excited with her new project. “Sobrang excited na ko… for Your Song. Magkasama kami ni Ms.Ai-Ai. Hindi s’ya drama. Sobrang light, comedy. Ako nga kinukwentuhan pa lang ako ng story, tawang-tawa na ko. Sabi ko, sana magawa ko sya. Sabi naman ni Ms. Ai, tutulungan nya ko.”
